Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Volunteer Specialist recruits, supports, and coordinates volunteers— for roles like the Volunteer Driver Program, helping older adults access essential transportation. This role ensures smooth scheduling, meaningful engagement, and fosters a caring community of volunteers dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through compassionate service and innovative opportunities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Volunteer Specialist recruits, trains, and matches volunteers to support older adult services, including the Volunteer Driver Program. They manage scheduling, maintain records, respond to inquiries, and address feedback. This role collaborates with partners, supports program development, promotes engagement through outreach, and ensures participants understand program protocols while tracking and reporting services.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position requires a highly motivated and responsible individual with excellent interpersonal and time management skills. Close and effective working relationships with senior clients and their family members, caregivers, service providers, and the public are required. Excellent computer, customer service, and communication skills are required. This position requires travel throughout the Planning & Service Areas.
