Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Administrate a dynamic volunteer service organization for a national museum. Serves as a member of the Museum Education team, is the primary staff contact for the 350 volunteers at the museum, and is responsible for managing the docent program and mentoring museum staff on how to work with volunteers.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The VC is in charge of making reservations for group tours and educational programs. Responsible for confirmation and invoicing all group tours and processing all museum guests’ customer feedback.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Should possess a bachelor’s degree and have some experience in administration of volunteer service groups. Experience in museum setting a plus. Must be very well organized, self-directed and motivated. Ability to administrate several concurrent projects is required. Requires flexibility of work hours and may include evenings and occasional weekend duty. Should be knowledgeable of good customer service practices, oriented to education and possess an interest and curiosity in science, history and technology subjects.
