Main Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for the cultivation, education, placement, coordination, and retention of volunteers. Promotes effective communication with staff to identify volunteer needs and connect volunteers with meaningful volunteer opportunities. Oversees volunteers and their relationships with those they interact with. Manages all elements of the volunteer function. Works effectively and neutrally with diverse belief systems.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Build long-term relationships with volunteers. Assess the need of volunteer assistance and staff accordingly. Develop and manage volunteer policies, procedures, budgets, and best practices for volunteer service. Recruit, interview, orient, and train volunteers. Evaluate volunteer programs to ensure effectiveness and recommend/implement changes. Maintain databases and manage administrative duties. Manage donations and supplies.
