Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Earn money for education while making a difference in your community! Casa Milagro is currently recruiting a VISTA member to join a statewide VISTA team. NMCEH VISTA members work behind the scenes to assist in strengthening our programs through fundraising, grant writing, volunteer recruitment, event planning, and educational programming.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

VISTA members are excellent listeners and communicators, highly organized, resourceful and self-motivated. During their year of service, VISTA members immerse themselves in the community that they serve. VISTA members are excellent team players and are interested in growing personally and professionally during their year of service.

Other Information/Requirements: 

VISTA positions are open to all US citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent resident immigrants age 18 or older. Members receive a modest living allowance of $1,000.00 per month and support with childcare if needed. Other benefits include student loan forbearance/deference and a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or post-service stipend.

Ability to work independently as well as some experience in the areas of grant writing, fundraising and volunteer coordination desired.
