Main Areas of Responsibility: 

You can earn money for education while making a difference in your community! Casa Milagro is currently recruiting a VISTA member to join a statewide VISTA team that works together to end homelessness in New Mexico. NMCEH VISTA members work behind the scenes to assist in strengthening our programs through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, event planning, and educational programming.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

VISTA members are passionate activists committed to ending poverty and homelessness. They are excellent listeners and communicators, are highly organized, resourceful and self- motivated. During their year of service, VISTA members immerse themselves in the community that they serve to empower agencies and communities working to eradicate poverty. VISTA members are excellent team players and are interested in growing personally and professionally during their year of service.

Other Information/Requirements: 

VISTA positions are open to all US citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent resident immigrants age 18 or older. Members receive a modest living allowance of $973 per month and support with childcare if needed. Other benefits include student loan forbearance or deference and a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or post-service stipend. Applicants must have experience in fundraising, grant writing and volunteer recruitment.
