Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Explora seeks a Visitor Services Public Programs Coordinator who loves working with people to ensure smooth weekend operations on the exhibit floor, provide visitors warm and welcoming experiences, and coordinate birthday parties and other public programs such as Adult Nights, Portal to the Public science activities, and seasonal events.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities include promoting learning through engagement and facilitation on the exhibit floor, demonstrating stellar customer service, scheduling floor shifts for staff and volunteers , serving as manager on duty, helping train floor staff and volunteers, and planning and preparing for public programs and birthday parties.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum qualifications include a high-school degree, work experiences serving diverse clienteles in public-facing positions, a love of lifelong learning, excellent customer service skills, well-developed organizational and communication skills, and the abilities to work both independently and as part of a team.
