Visitor Experience Educator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

You will be responsible for facilitating inquiry-based learning experiences for audiences of all ages. VE Educators are skillful at creating STEAM interactions that are engaging, effective, and memorable for visitors and program participants. Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This position will facilitate demonstrations, activities and programs in STEAM; facilitate experiential educational programs for a variety of audiences, both on-site and through outreach including virtual programs; greet and interact with Explora visitors and school groups, according to Explora’s pedagogy; and collaborate with other educators and Explora staff members

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position requires basic computer skills; experience working with children, especially in a museum or informal setting; and a High School Diploma or GED with preference for Bachelor’s degree in field of emphasis (i.e. early childhood, family studies, physical science, biology, art). An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted, as long as it directly relates to the essential duties and responsibilities. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
