Video Producer

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

 Work with ministry departments to analyze project needs and develop creative conceptions
 Develop direction for each project: developing shot lists, storyboards, scripts, video locations, etc.
 Travel to third-world locations for in-field filming and recording
 Film and record or direct filming/recording; direct on-camera talent and narrators; determine lighting and sound needs
 Complete post production for each project

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

 Coordinate completed video production with outsourced editors, when projects require
 Regularly improve knowledge and skill set in audio/video trends, media, techniques, and equipment through ongoing on-line training and professional publications
 Handle staff requests for audio/video content as needed
 Perform unique audio-/video-related projects as requested
 Research and recommend new equipment purchases
 Negotiate contracts for independent contractors, when required

Other Information/Requirements: 

 BA in media field or equivalent exp
 5 years exp
 Advanced video-graphic skill
 1 year cross-cultural exp and skill as visual storyteller
 Willing to travel to 3rd-world countries
 Proficient in use and maintenance of audio/video equipment
 Proficient in computer systems used in media production and MS Office
 Ability to manage time, work under tight deadlines and Project management
 Ability to express oneself clearly, both orally and written
