Victim Advocate

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Legal advocacy, court accompaniment, on-call to law enforcement for assistance.
Case management and referrals.
Crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and referral to DV victims.
Assistance on DV restraining orders and stalking/harassment intervention.
Establishing financial losses for restitution purposes.
Training and growth opportunities.
Other related and assigned job duties.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Bachelor’s degree or related field; or graduation from a senior high school or GED with one (1) year experience working with a victim oriented program such as domestic violence, child abuse, rape crisis; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Necessary Special Requirements
1. No prior felony convictions.
2. Valid New Mexico Driver’s License
