Main Areas of Responsibility:
Domestic Violence Resource Center provides immediate and short-term advocacy and counseling services to adult and child victims of domestic violence. The Victim Advocate is expected to support and carry out the mission of the agency, follow agency policies, including personnel and programmatic, and demonstrate team participation and a work place philosophy that enriches staff’s ability to reach goals and provide a high level of client service.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
• Provides direct services to victims of family violence.
• On-call support to provide assistance to law enforcement with domestic violence calls.
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling, referral for other appropriate services.
• Provide assistance on domestic violence restraining orders and stalking/harassment intervention.
• Information and referrals for personal safety and security issues.
