Upward Bound Program Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Lead the development and implementation, of activities for a pre-collegiate preparatory program. This position plans and coordinates the day-to-day operation of Upward Bound (UB) ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Education and project grant award guidelines. This position will work with the Center Director to provide leadership for the project including program development and implementation, staff supervision, and evaluation, as well as direct service to participants.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Must be detail oriented, learn quickly, and has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The right candidate will be self-motivated, and take initiative.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BS/BA; Valid NM driver’s license; Pass APS criminal records check; Strong computer skills.

Preferred:
Master’s degree, or an equivalent education and experience.
Experience in a TRiO project or similar program.
Experience in leading the use of computer-based data collection systems.
3-5 years of experience working with high school age students and/or first year college students from various ethnic backgrounds, low income, and/or potential first generation college students.
Supervisory experience.
