Tutoring Program Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The program director is responsible for the overall management of the OASIS tutoring program; overseeing the program and working with tutors as well as school personnel. This position is a full-time exempt position and reports to the OASIS Albuquerque Executive Director.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Develop and implement plan to recruit volunteer tutors through varied marketing efforts; provide support, information and guidance to volunteer tutors; work with lead tutors to organize training activities; coordinate all tutor trainings and annual appreciation event; serve as liaison between OASIS and the various school district administrations; work with school site coordinators to facilitate timely placement of new and returning volunteers.

Other Information/Requirements: 

A Bachelors degree is required. Must have experience working with and supervising volunteers. Experience working with and/or volunteering in local public or private elementary schools is desired but not required. Excellent writing and computer skills (Excel, Word) are required. Grant writing skills are preferred. You must be a customer service oriented person who enjoys working with older adults. Independent, self-motivated, self-starter with excellent follow-through skills.
