Training Specialist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Training Specialist works to support and manage Training operations; including coordinating with outside professionals and organizations, clinical, training and program staff to provide all levels of training, including classroom, and modeling services for internal staff as well as outside organizations. The TS is responsible for tracking training needs for staff including recertification and current trainings.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Easter Seals El Mirador Training Institute currently specializes in educational training for direct care professionals focusing on those who serve people with developmental, mental and behavioral disabilities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements Include:
* B.A. or B.S. in rehabilitation, education, or related field preferred.
* Valid New Mexico Drivers License
* 3 Years Driving Experience, Clean Driving Record (Driving records will be checked)
* Negative TB Test Results (SMEM will provide test)
* Negative Drug Screening
* Minimum 1 year direct experience in staff training required.
* Must obtain CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification within the first 60 days of employment.
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
