Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Therapists at RCCCNM provide professional therapy for survivors of sexual violence, including sexual assault, abuse, and incest, and for others impacted by these issues. Therapists provide case coordination and advocacy for survivors by interfacing with various systems including employers, legal/court system, family/friends, medical, schools, etc.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provide individual, family and group therapy for anyone affected by sexual violence.
• Carry manageable client caseload; conduct assessments, treatment planning, case coordination, and group and/or individual therapy.
• Participate in weekly group consultation, supervision and clinical meetings with other RCCCNM therapists
• Inform RCCCNM of developments and trends in areas of mental health and trauma treatment that may have a bearing on RCCCNM’s programs, clients, staff, or community.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master’s degree and New Mexico licensure in Counseling (LPCC, LMHC), Art Therapy (LPAT), Social Work (LMSW, LISW), or related discipline. Experience working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Maintain licensing and continuing education per RCCCNM needs and professional standards. Successful applicants must complete the RCCCNM 40-hour Advocate Training. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
