Technical Trainer

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The technical trainer is responsible for the organization-wide development and delivery of technology training. Specific duties include working closely with the Information Services team to develop and implement the training activity associated with the deployment of new, in-house developed software and purchased, third-party software. Additionally, this position will assist with raising the overall technology knowledge level of the organization through a variety of training methodologies.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Ideal candidates will be professional, personable, passionate about training, and able to apply adult-learning principles to the design or re-tooling of computer-based training, reference materials and classroom training for time-challenged business professionals. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to work both cooperatively and independently and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational learning and instructional technology, instructional design or similar degree. Three to five years of proven success delivering technical training on enterprise applications in a professional office environment. Experience may be substituted for education. Microsoft Office certification is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Experience with SharePoint and Captivate is desired.
