System Specialist

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Computer and network systems administration. Provides professional technical support services to facility staff and users. Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, systems, networks and printers. Provide technical support across the facility. Repair and replace equipment as necessary. Assist system administrator in server maintenance, web programming, and client-/server-side scripting.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, or associate degree in IT or CS with 3 years’ applicable experience. Installation and troubleshooting of Windows 7 & 10, Mac OS X, Linux/Unix required. Computer hardware installation and troubleshooting required. Web development (PHP, MySQL) required. Linux Shell Scripting required. Experience with Drupal, VMWare, and Git or similar version control desired.
Demonstrated ability with Python code development desired.
