Summer Math Teacher-Part-time Temporary

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Develops and teaches a non-traditional math curriculum that covers the basic concepts of integrated algebra, pre-algebra, algebra II, geometry and pre-calculus. Teaches four math classes Monday-Thursday for five weeks.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The math curriculum should be designed to provide individual instruction of students based on their level of math achievement. Evaluate and assess students’ progress and achievements during the program and submit final grades at the end of the summer program. Provide mentorship to students.

Other Information/Requirements: 

B.A or B.S. degree in education with a certification in math. New Mexico teacher certification; two years’ experience in teaching at the high school level preferred. Experience in developing curriculum that addresses the individual needs of students and non-traditional methods. Experience in providing educational services to low-income and potential first-generation college students.
