Main Areas of Responsibility:
Summer instructors are responsible for assisting in the development of curriculum, needs assessment, and pre- and post-tests. They must develop and maintain class plans and evaluations, provide classroom instruction in assigned academic courses, assess student needs and provide tutorials as needed.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and deliver a curriculum that addresses course objectives; utilize innovative classroom techniques and methodologies that involve students in challenging learning opportunities; provide feedback to students that will enhance their academic growth; monitor and report student attendance; refer students not making adequate progress; complete summative evaluations highlighting students’ strengths and needs; submit curriculum evaluation for the purpose of improving program services.
