Substitute Preschool Teacher

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Help deaf children learn to listen and speak.
Presbyterian Ear Institute Oral School is looking for on-call substitute teachers. Come and work alongside other specialist and provide direct supervision for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners. All children have a hearing loss and use various forms of amplification.
You will actively engage children in language and learning activities in a fun-filled, supportive environment.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities also may include diaper changing, helping with snack/lunch/recess/rest periods, music and games, art, reading, math activities, etc.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Hours of availability need to be 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.
Applicant must have high school diploma and be able to pass a background check. Experience and post-secondary education are a plus but not required. Knowledge of sign language is not required. Training will occur on site. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team of deaf educators, early childhood educators, speech pathologists and audiologists.
