Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Maintain community art studio as a safe and healthy environment that supports the creative expression and well-being of studio participants. Responsibilities include maintaining and organizing studio, encouraging artists to participate in workshops and classes, operating Artists’ Co-op Gallery and non-juried exhibition space to provide public venues for display and sales of artwork, and donations of art materials.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Maintain and clean the studio, with volunteer assistance. Manage and organize storage of equipment, tools and art materials; keep studio materials organized and accessible. Assist customers with sales from our thrift store, Artists’ Co-op Gallery and exhibition space. Give tours and information to guests and new participants.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Part-time (20 hours/week). $10/hour to start, during studio hours (Tu.-Fri.: noon-5 p.m.; Sat.: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.). Occasional evenings/weekends. BA or associate degree in art, arts management, art therapy or social services preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Apps (GMail, Calendar, File Stream etc.)
