Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The COPE Store Marketing Intern’s primary responsibilities will be to develop promotional and advertising materials for Healthy Navajo Store Initiative stores and supporting the COPE Store Coordinator with organizing activities and events.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Position includes communicating COPE activities to various stakeholders through face-to-face meetings, emails, written reports, presentations and other methods of communication; getting input from stakeholders and incorporating these changes into program activities; and helping coordinate daily activities such as training activities, meetings and other events.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Although COPE does not provide direct services, COPE works with all Service Units of Navajo Nation (including more than 80 community health organizations) as well as 25 convenience stores, several local growers, and a number of grassroots organizations with the aim of increasing food access on the reservation.
