Main Areas of Responsibility:
Conduct asset mapping and gap analysis to chart the landscape of out-of-school-time (OST) STEM in New Mexico; Identify STEM-rich institutions and businesses as well as other potential partners in New Mexico that providers can partner with; Assist with the development of activities, tools, and support systems that can be accessed by the Project STEM Up sites and the rest of the OST community looking to form partnerships with STEM-rich partners.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Assist the two regional OST STEM hubs as needed with delivering the professional development workshop series that the 24 OST provider sites will receive over the next two years; Research best practices and implement strategies to effectively engage students of color and low-income students in STEM; Conduct outreach to professional STEM organizations that are focused on underserved populations to engage them in our work and to synergize with their efforts.
