STEM-NM Manager

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Critical areas of work: maintaining our role as the STEM-NM Ecosystem leader & backbone organization; facilitating and maintaining cross-sector partnerships and collaborations; defining and communicating connections and pathways between education and the STEM-H economy; publicizing the work of STEM-NM; ensuring the successful implementation of current initiatives.
Participate in the development, facilitation, and evaluation of STEM-NM initiatives at Explora and throughout the community.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Assist with reporting on activities; develop and implement strategies for evaluation.
Convene the STEM-NM leadership council and community input groups according to schedule; oversee meeting preparation and logistics.
Develop and nurture partnerships, collaborations, and connectivity among different sectors.
Manage both small & large scale projects with community partners.
Work independently and with a team on all aspects of STEM-NM.
Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in related field and professional experience with personnel and project management
• Initiative to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with Explora employees, volunteers, visitors, vendors, and community partners
• Well-developed organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
• Expressed interest in scientific and artistic phenomena and in education
• Travel for meetings, trainings, or other job-related duties
