Statewide Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Oversee statewide SANE activities; coordinate, support, and enhance existing and developing SANE programs in New Mexico; build interagency alliances to ensure victim-centered medical and forensic response to sexual assault/abuse patients; ensure NM SANE compliance with state laws and national standards; address emerging SANE and sexual assault/abuse issues as they arise. NM SANE program development; daily technical assistance to SANE agencies; provide training activities.

Specifications/Core Job Expectations:
Grant writing, budgeting and reporting
Strong self-motivation, critical thinking skills and capacity to prioritize multiple projects
Strong interpersonal, conflict-resolution and leadership skills
Driver’s license, access to vehicle and ability to drive
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Examiner precept and annual SANE conference plan and implementation

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master’s degree in related field. Experience in grant writing, public speaking, report writing, program development, budget management and multiagency coordinated response. Familiarity with forensics, medical practices and sexual violence. The position is 30 hours a week, with some evening/weekend events.

Starting salary range $58,000-65,000 DOE
