Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty is a nationally recognized nonprofit law firm engaging in systemic advocacy and impact litigation to advance social and economic justice.

We are looking for a highly capable lawyer to join our staff in a full-time position involving complex civil litigation.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The work at the Center on Law and Poverty is varied, always challenging and highly rewarding. The work week is reasonable and the staff superb. We offer a reasonable nonprofit salary and excellent benefits.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required: Law degree and license; at least six years of experience in civil litigation; excellent research, writing and legal advocacy skills; ‘no-stone-unturned’ thoroughness and persistence; ability to problem-solve creatively; and detail-orientation.

Preferred: Familiarity with poverty or civil rights law and the ability to speak Spanish.
