Main Areas of Responsibility:
In conjunction with our external CPA firm, the Staff Accountant and Grant Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of grants and reporting. Duties include but not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Oversee grant management activities, including tracking grant expenditures, monitoring grant compliance, and preparing grant financial reports.

Financial Policies, Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Develop policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Monitor internal systems to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification is desirable.
- Proven experience in nonprofit accounting, financial management, and grant compliance.
- Experience with financial software and accounting systems. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar software preferred.
- Familiarity with grant management and reporting requirements for government, foundation, and private grants.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
