Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting functions including contract and grant billings, payroll, journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation, accounts payable and cash receipts transactions, month end processes, daily accounting for SHC-NM and affiliated entities, and assist with Human Resource functions; works closely with Executive Director, Comptroller, and all staff on a wide range of financial issues.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3-5 years’ experience
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Proficiency with Abila MIP preferred
Experience with fund accounting, multiple companies, and construction preferred
Experience with federally funded programs preferred
