Main Areas of Responsibility:
This position requires extensive use of MIP Fund Accounting Software (training provided) and Excel to complete monthly accounting work, AP, AR, payroll, importing bank transactions from Excel into MIP, reconciling bank and other asset and liability accounts to trial balance, making month-end JE's, leading to eventual preparation of financial statements.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Experience: Minimum of three years' of substantive bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably with software other than just QuickBooks. Also preferred is at least one year's experience working in non-profit accounting, or in public accounting with a CPA firm. Above average computer skills, strong Excel skills (you should be comfortable using pivot tables and look-up formulas), and comfortable working in a web-based and paperless environment.
