South Valley Economic Development Program Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

To support business owners in the South Valley by 1) supporting and organizing with volunteers and partners world-class business incubation to a number of Spanish and English-speaking business owners and 2) connecting and building collaborations with business support organizations in the South Valley.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Work with partners and clients to identify, develop and execute strong English and Spanish-language business support services
• Expand SVEDC’s business incubation services, and help the SVEDC expand as a business hub for South Valley entrepreneurs
• With the input of community and partners, support the development of long-term economic development planning in the South Valley

Other Information/Requirements: 

College graduate or equivalent with post high school training and/or experience of at least 4 years.
Proven entrepreneurial track record (i.e. taking initiative and building a business/organization)
Board experience, experience with budgeting and management, and familiarity and connections to the South Valley of Albuquerque is a strong plus. Spanish fluency required.
