Software Programmer - Render Support

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Faith Comes By Hearing has a position for a Software Programmer who will add problem-solving and high-quality programming to the development and support of Render. Render is a workflow tool that enables oral Bible translation of languages that are unwritten. Priorities will include: resolve problems that are beyond the capabilities of Render’s user support staff (e.g., squash bugs), enhance automated testing efforts, and add features in coordination with the Render programming staff.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

 Apply skills in programming, logic, and debugging to solve problems that are delaying Bible translation efforts
 Enhance Render’s reliability by providing programming support for continuous integration, and release testing efforts
 Add features to help accelerate Bible translation

Other Information/Requirements: 

 Required:
 Ability to solve complex technical problems
 Proficient in C#/.NET/WPF and Visual Studio
 High attention to detail
 Ability to switch context between multiple concurrent issues
 Preferred:
 Experience with databases and object-relational mapping
 Experience with distributed workflow issues
 Experience with testing (units, integration, and GUI) and continuous integration using tools
 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or several years of related experience
