Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Volunteer Coordinator provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers, ensuring that children involved with the CASA program receive sound advocacy and early permanency planning.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for:
• Recruiting and screening, interviewing and training of new volunteers.
• Review new cases and assign appropriate volunteers in consultation with the Executive Director.
• Help volunteer develop initial case plans and ongoing strategies for advocacy.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
• Attend court hearings and track court dates to notify volunteer.
• Spend a minimum of 70% time on direct serving.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all appropriate groups, agencies, organizations, and any and all other child advocacy agencies and community service organizations.
• Organize and participate in public speaking engagements.
