Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide SSI Outreach and Recovery Services to those clients experiencing severe mental health issues and/or co-occurring disorders. Work with clients to complete SSI & SSDI applications, help to track those applications and assist in facilitating clients receiving the benefits they have applied for. The SOAR Specialist will be expected to meet with clients as referred by St. Martin’s staff, other social service providers, and walk-in clients as directed.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The SOAR Specialist will also network with other SOAR providers in the Albuquerque metro area for resource development and as needed training.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational abilities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience with homeless issues, substance abuse and severe mental illness preferred.
2. Must have current CPR and First-Aid certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
3. Must have or obtain Soar Certification.
4. B.S./B.A. Preferred
