Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Working in partnership and collaboration with the Core Team, the Site-based Leadership Team as well as the Student Support Team (Wellness Team), the CIS community school Site Coordinator will deliver evidence-based interventions, programs and strategies, and best practices that support students, families, and communities to ensure student success that is aligned with the Four Pillars of a Community School.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

At the heart of a CIS community school Site Coordinator’s work is the forging of caring and lasting relationships with students and their families, who often face overwhelming poverty or trauma-related challenges in their lives that are impacting their ability to succeed in school.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum, bachelor's degree in social work; master’s degree in social work preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English - All CIS of New Mexico Site Coordinators need to be able to discuss complicated educational and social service topics with the many monolingual Spanish-speaking students and parents we serve.
Experience working with children in an educational setting.
Demonstrable experience working with relevant school age students is required.
