Senior Programs Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Senior Programs Coordinator plans and implements a variety of stimulating and inclusive programs for seniors. These programs are aimed primarily at Jewish seniors but are open to all. The Coordinator position requires a dynamic, culturally competent person that has direct experience with seniors. This position is part time (15-20 hrs/week) and is supervised by the JCC Executive Director

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Specific Duties:
1. Plan and manage a weekly senior program
2. Grow the JCC Senior Program to include a variety of other arts, culture, and educational components and activities that can take place on-site and off-site.
3. Partner with other organizations to plan and offer activities for seniors.
4. Stay current with research about senior programming and senior mental/physical health; use current information in the design and implementation of senior programs.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Preferred Experience (not limited to):
1. Experience with designing and managing programs for seniors.
2. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
3. Ability to work as a team player
4. Effective in community outreach
5. Proven skills in MS Office
6. Uses initiative, is resourceful and creative
7. Ability to develop a professional working relationship
8. Knowledge of Albuquerque community resources, Judaism, and the Jewish community
