Main Areas of Responsibility:
Under direction of the Operations Manager, assist new clients in setting up their general ledger in MIP nonprofit accounting software (training provided), map accounts from old GL to new GL, import accounting data, format financial statements, and train client staff on MIP account structure, transaction coding, and work processes.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
This position may also have regular client service responsibilities for assigned clients (month-end close, financial statement preparation, payroll backup). Once proficient with MIP and our work processes, the Senior Accountant will participate in training newly hired bookkeeping and accounting staff.
