Main Areas of Responsibility: 

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at our Albuquerque, NM headquarters. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting operations across the organization’s five-state region, including grant and contracts compliance and administration, loan servicing and year-end audit preparation.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

-Performs advanced accounting and related functions in such areas as ledger maintenance and monthly closing, cost and/or financial analysis, fund reconciliation, posting and loan portfolio control
-Analyzes complex financial and operating data and prepares management reports, financial statements and projections
-Performs analysis and generates reports of the loan portfolio and donor base

-Knowledge of internal control evaluation
-Experience creating and managing budgets
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance plus five years’ experience in a nonprofit setting; master’s degree and/or CPA certificate preferred
-Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
-Accounting experience for loan operations preferred
