Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Senior Accountant reports directly to the CFO. It is an exempt position responsible for providing financial support for a multi-office non-profit organization in Albuquerque with an annual budget of at least $9M. Duties include but are not limited to general ledger maintenance, bank and account reconciliations, financial report preparations, and ensuring company-wide internal controls. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills are required.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage all general ledger and subsidiary journals, accounts receivables, and cash flow forecasting; prepare and process general ledger transactions and post journal entries; perform payroll allocations and fund reconciliations; prepare invoices for grants and contracts; reconcile accounts receivable monthly; perform all cash account reconciliations for all relevant bank accounts, and; assist in all reporting requirements.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Work closely with the CFO on budgets, projections, and other grant-related requirements; assist in generating monthly financial statements and analysis; assist CFO in the annual financial and any other audits as required; maintain fixed asset inventory; maintain and Improve Chart of Accounts; ensure internal controls and seek to improve existing internal controls, and; ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
