Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a dynamic Scientific Editor who enjoys editing and project managing manuscripts for the radiologic technology profession. The ASRT scholarly journals offer the ambitious editor the opportunity to review manuscripts from different disciplines in an effort to provide engaging and comprehensive content.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Editing and steering scientific manuscripts through the publication process.
• Working with and mentoring authors, serving as an editorial consultant to staff editors, developing content and editing in-house materials as needed.
• Ability to write, edit, research and project manage is essential to the position.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree up to a master’s degree in English, professional writing, technical writing, journalism or a related field with three to five years of strong writing and editing experience in a similar position or industry.
• Experience as registered radiologic technologist, with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, encouraged.
• Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS) or American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) certification in writing/editing preferred.
