School Based Therapist

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provide therapeutic services and supports to young people in a school setting with the goal of helping them to be present and successful in the school environment
• Assess, plan and implement individualized treatment for assigned clients
• Individual, group, family and crisis response as needed or required

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Utilize a strengths-based framework along with diverse modalities to best meet needs of youth
• Have a depth of understanding of complex trauma and Trauma Informed Practices and how it impacts young people
• Maintains a high level of professionalism and ability to address concerns with the school, staff and community partners

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Must be flexible, making changes as needed to best meet youth, school and agency needs
• Able to seek support when needed, utilizing personal healthy self-care strategies
• Able to work with various dynamic teams as a collaborative team member
• Participate in monthly individual and group supervision meetings and quarterly staff meetings
