School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Services
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to students, including crisis intervention.
• Conduct intake assessments, diagnoses, and treatment/service plans for referred students.
• Develop and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions.
• Observe students in various school settings and formulate goals and objectives tailored to their needs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Collaborate with school staff and community providers for coordinated care and advocacy. Support adolescent mental health through consultation, culturally responsive communication, and access to resources. Provide supervision, ensure compliance, and maintain documentation. Participate in quality improvement, meetings, and training to enhance clinical programs, outcomes, and professional development.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master’s in Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Independent NM clinical license (or supervision toward it) and ability to obtain PED license within 60 days. Two years’ youth counseling experience, strong communication skills, HIPAA/FERPA knowledge. Preferred: supervisory approval, school-based experience, trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, reliable transportation.
