Director of Development

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Development is responsible for procuring major gifts and supervising the Santa Fe annual giving, membership and event programs. This position will work closely with board members and development staff to identify and qualify new prospects, maintain and refresh board and staff portfolios, and actively cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in development, with demonstrable experience in direct major gift solicitation
• Communicates effectively through speaking, writing and effective listening; writing samples required, preferably direct solicitation letters and proposals
• Strong organizational, computer, and smart-phone skills including familiarity with MS Office , strong development database skills
