Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Coordinating and communicating with the team and its diverse partners; convene monthly team meetings; work with communities to raise awareness about the social determinants of health and health equity by linking root causes to community action; center community members most directly impacted by health inequities in leadership roles; and establish a broad multi-sector coalition composed of community leaders and other entities to advance health equity.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• 3- 5 years of experience or education in public health, community organizing, facilitating and coordinating projects/activities.
• Knowledge of San Juan County community engagement strategies that increase participation of local community members to effectively address focus issues related to the team goals.
• Formal training and/or experience working on public health, social justice initiatives, community engagement, facilitation, and/or coalition and capacity building for marginalized populations.
