Safe Home Weekend Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This position provides staff leadership in maintaining a safe and supportive climate for youth experiencing homelessness or in need of safe short-term housing. This position is 40 hours a week, exempt Wednesday-Saturday, afternoon and evenings. Salary is $36,000 - $46,000 DOE. The candidate will report to the Emergency Housing Director.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Build a team approach to working with youth in the safe home environment and across shifts
• Hire front line staff
• Address discipline issues and actively participate in decisions about performance improvement plans, terminations, etc.
• Responsible for decision-making on all new intakes, whether to accept, deny or call a team meeting

• Model appropriate behaviors and interactions with youth for staff, that is grounded in the Safe Home core principles of Positive Youth Development, The Nurtured Heart Approach and Trauma Informed Practices and provide on-going coaching to staff in the core principles. How to Apply: 

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in social services, education or other related field, including 3 years working with young people
• Associates degree with 6 years’ experience, including 3 years working with young people
• Supervisory experience, 2-5 years preferred
• Experience working with youth that have experienced homelessness, trauma, and/or system involvement, preferred
