Safe Home Therapist

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

A New Day operates a short-term crisis shelter for youth aged 11-17. The Safe Home therapist provides services and support for the young people staying at the Safe Home. They also provide support and consultation to milieu staff and act as a member of the Safe Home Leadership Team

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Psychosocial assessments for youth entering the Safe Home
• Provide individual, couples, family and crisis response therapy as needed or required
• Create individualized treatment and discharge plans
• Refer youth and families for additional services when needed

Other Information/Requirements: 

Approach to Work
• Utilize strengths-based framework along with diverse modalities to best meet the needs of youth
• Understand and exemplify the core principles/approaches used within the Safe Home: Positive Youth Development, the Nurtured Heart Approach and Trauma Informed Practices

How to Apply: 

Professional Requirements
• State licensed as LISW/LCSW, LPCC LMFT, LMSW, or LMHC
• 2-4 years working with adolescents, specifically with youth that have experienced homelessness, trauma, and/or system involvement preferred
• Working with diverse teams
