Main Areas of Responsibility:
Help make a difference in the lives of families with disabled children. The role of the respite provider is to provide temporary relief to the caregiver of an individual with a developmental disability. Respite providers are responsible for the care and safety of their client in a variety of settings including in the client’s home, in the community or during structured recreational activities. Individuals must be caring and patient.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Abrazos Family Support Services provides structured recreational activities – such as bowling, soccer, horseback riding and swimming - to children who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. We are seeking respite providers to transport clients to and from activities and support the clients during the activities. Activities take place in both the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque areas.
