Resident Advocate

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Resident advocates are the front line of our Domestic Violence Shelter. They answer phones, handle crisis calls, conduct intakes, do room checks, grounds checks and take care of residents daily needs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

RA's also do routine paperwork and cleaning of office area and resident rooms.

Other Information/Requirements: 

At least 1 year social service and/or customer service experience.
Strong people skills.
Good judgement and decision making.
Ability to stay calm under pressure.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a good driving record, and able to pass a criminal background check.
