Main Areas of Responsibility:
Assists providers and patients in scheduling appointments; navigates the insurance network to meet patient needs in the most appropriate fashion; researches options for patients with limited resources; obtains prior authorizations as needed for items such as procedures, medications, medical supplies and referrals; and communicating with patients about their referrals, appointments, and a responding to patients questions on these issues.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
High school graduate or GED certificate required; graduation from a technical school with appropriate degree and/or certification such as Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred; six months related experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources; and fluent in both English and Spanish preferred.
