Ranch Operations Specialist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Ranch Operations Specialist shall oversee daily ranch operations, including implementing and monitoring all safety protocols. Oversee volunteers in ensuring that equine husbandry needs are met; monitor all vehicles, structures, and equipment; provide medical care and treatment to horses as-needed under vet direction; oversee, direct and participate in grounds maintenance and maintaining cleanliness; and fill in when volunteers are not present to perform daily chores.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Housing and utilities are INCLUDED as part of the position. It is an agricultural exempt position and requires living onsite with housing, electricity and propane provided as part of employment.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Experienced in equine handling and husbandry (min three years)
Experienced with large machinery including ATVs, tractors, trucks, and trailers
Capable of performing basic maintenance and general upkeep of vehicles and structures
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Highly self-motivated
Able to lift 50 lb minimum and carry up to 30 feet
High School Diploma
Possess valid New Mexico Driver's License

$17,000 - $22,000
