Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

If selected, you are placed with a local nonprofit organization and participate in a full-time, paid apprenticeship for 10 months. In addition you will attend regular skill-building and leadership development sessions with your cohort of Allies. You will use your new leadership skills to help strengthen your placement as well as connect to the leaders and organizations in your community to help address real issues.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

We believe everyone leads, and each year we choose people of widely diverse backgrounds to join our PANM/ Americorps program. PANM is a state wide initiative of the New Mexico Forum for Youth in the Community which focuses on developing the next generation of nonprofit and community leaders. Allies serve in Bernalillo, Santa Fe, Dona Ana counties, working to build capacity and sustainability of programs for organizations who wish to impact areas of education, health, and economic equity.

Other Information/Requirements: 

A monthly stipend of $1,500, Health Care, Child Care and student loan deferment. An education award of $5,730 after successfully completing the 10 month program. The award money can go toward past student loans or future education. Applications are open until January 31st at midnight.
