Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Health Action New Mexico is launching a statewide advocacy campaign to reduce Prescription Drug Costs through the establishment of a state Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB). The contract is for approximately 7 months at 30/hrs/week.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Project/Campaign Manager will organize a Coalition to support the PDAB solution; develop & support a statewide campaign & its strategic activities; coordinate a statewide sign-on of a resolution of support for the PDAB; develop and implement the campaign’s work plan; analyze state level PDAB policy proposals; and work with the new Coalition members regarding legislative strategy & efforts during the legislative session.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position requires five years experience in managing public policy advocacy coalitions or comparable experience; strong analytical and political skills, including a comprehensive understanding to NM health policy and the state budget process; thorough knowledge and understanding of health policy, and prescription drug costs issues; and demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written.
